Life Education Trust Visit

We have been visiting Harold the giraffe in the Life Education trust mobile classroom. He has been helping us learn all about friendships. We can be 'bucket fillers' or 'bucket dippers'. You can easily fill someone's bucket with happiness - ask your child how they can do so.

Nature table

Thank you George for bringing in a skink from home! We loved looking through the magnifying glass, watching it move around!

Kaitlyn bought a real birds nest in to show the children today. Her grandad found it in an old tree he was cutting down! How cool!

Science is cool!

Vacuum fun!

Wet day lunch means we had to bring out the vacuum to clean up our crumbs! The boys were so excited to see the crumbs being sucked up into the machine! Thank you boys for helping to keep our pod sparkly clean!

Science - Experiment

What happens when you add Mentos to a bottle of Diet Coke?

Something really cool!

The gas released by the mentos pushes all of the liquid up and out of the bottle for a huge explosion

Challenge Wanaka!

We are getting excited about the up and coming triathlon. We believe the triathalon is a fantastic way for our school to connect with a local community event, and this fits perfectly with our strategic focus which is “Linking in with the Community”. You must register your child online at the Challenge Wanaka website http://www.challenge-wanaka.com/junior-challenge-wanaka/.  Remember to enter the promo code wanakaprimary16 to receive the free entry. Registrations close on Friday 12th of February. Please note that if you would like to help your child in the transition area, you MUST register to be a volunteer on the website. Only registered volunteers are allowed in the transition area. However, you are more than welcome to assist your child around the track on their bikes if they need your support.  Children to wear appropriate sportswear, if possible in their tribe colours.  No uniform required. We look forward to seeing you all there!
